FATHER MODERATOR

The Father Moderator is the Superior General of the MSP. The incumbent Father Moderator is the Rev. Fr. ALFREDO G. AFRICA, JR., MSP.

He was elected in absentia during the 7th MSP General Assembly in January 2009.

Fr. Africa hails from San Pascual, Batangas. He finished his philisophical studies at the St. Francis de Sales Seminary in Lipa, Batangas, and his theological studies at the Divine Word Seminary in Tagaytay City.

After his ordination to the priesthood, Fr Africa was sent to Papua New Guinea, particularly to the Diocese of Daru-Kiunga, Western Province. After his term, he was recalled and served as the Rector of the MSP Seminary in Tagaytay. From then on, he worked in the administration, being a General Council member, and later, involved himself again in the formation work. His last posting was the United States of America.
