FR. MARIO TEJADA EMBARKS ON HIS NEW MISSION

ON January 18, 2010, Fr Mario John Paul Tejada MSP flew to Thailand in order to start his new mission in that Asian kingdom. He will be joining our two confreres, namely, Fr Fil Mahusay MSP and Fr Sonny Cantillano MSP.

The rite of mission (sending) was held at 6:30 am. It was attended by the MSP Central House Fathers and a few lay friends. In his homily, Fr Alfie Africa MSP reminded Fr Mario to bring the Society’s charism to the people whom he will serve in Thailand and share it. On his part, Fr Mario said that the Thailand posting is a new “springtime” of mission for him. It has been over ten years now since he left his first mission, Papua New Guinea. Accordingly, Thailand is memorable for him because it is the first foreign country that he went to. He feels happy to be sent to this country and do mission.
