MSP CELEBRATES ITS 45th FOUNDATIONAL ANNIVERSARY

LAST JANUARY 30, 2010, the MSP celebrates its feast day at the MSP Seminary in Tagaytay City, in honor of the Sto. Nino. Traditionally, the MSP celebrates its foundational anniversary every last Saturday of January, as the foundation of the MSP happened in January 1965. Thus, the MSP turns 45 this year.

The MSP priests assigned in Mandaluyong, Manila, and Makati areas went to Tagaytay for the celebration. Other MSP priests who attended were Frs Jun Tacaisan and Percy Singco from Davao City, Fr Rollie Detera from Cebu, Fr Bebot Galo of Japan, and Frs Elie Sangco and Ernie Ablaza, missionaries in Papua New Guinea. Some guest-priests also joined in the celebration. MSP parishioners and friends were also invited.

The Holy Eucharist was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. It was presided over by the MSP Father Moderator, Fr Alfie Africa, who was also the homilist. To enliven the “Sto. Nino” spirit, a group of children danced within the mass and yelled the “Viva Sto. Nino!”  A good meal was prepared and followed by a program, to the delight of the guests.
