SEM. RANDY GUMANIT IS ORDAINED A DEACON

THE LONE Theology Four MSP seminarian, BENERANDO RAUL “Randy” GUMANIT, was ordained today, February 6, 2010, a deacon. The ceremony took place at the MSP Seminary Chapel in Tagaytay City, with Bp Edwin dela Pena, MSP, DD, the Prelate of Marawi, as the ordaining bishop.

The solemn, simple and familial ceremony was attended by Rev Randy’s family, as well as the MSP family of priests, seminarians and staff. Fr Benny (Rev Randy’s parish priest in Tuy, Batangas) and Fr Eugene Lopez OFMCap (Rev Randy’s friend and classmate) also came to witness the celebration.

On the eve of his ordination, Rev Randy was accepted to the MSP as Incorporate member or full member of the MSP. The Father Moderator, Fr Alfie Africa, officiated the Rite of Acceptance and was witnessed by the MSP priests and seminarians. As deacon, Rev Randy will serve at the Parish of Our Lady of the Abandoned in Mandaluyong City.
